Dr. Elise Boersma obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree at McMaster University, and then attended dental school at the University of Sydney, Australia where she graduated with Honors.  Dr. Boersma continued to work in Australia. She practiced as a general dentist for 5 years and taught part-time as a clinical instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney.

Dr. Boersma went on to complete her orthodontic training and Masters of Oral Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Boersma is a board certified orthodontist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and Canadian Association of Orthodontists.
